SunGard Acquires Mindwell

SunGard today announced that it has acquired Swedish financial technology consulting services firm Mindwell.
The acquisition will strengthen SunGard’s capital markets expertise in Sweden, Switzerland and the Netherlands. The acquisition, the terms of which were not disclosed, is not expected to have a material impact on SunGard’s financial results.
Mindwell’s strong domain knowledge of capital markets and familiarity with SunGard’s Front Arena and other trading and risk management solutions will help SunGard offer a broader range of capital markets financial technology and business consulting services.
Per Olsson Ravn, chief executive officer of Mindwell, said, “As part of SunGard, we will be better positioned to deliver innovation and best practices to the global capital markets community. Together we will continue to develop our business consulting and systems integration and implementation capabilities.”

Vattenfall Treasury extends engagement with
Mindwell

Vattenfall Treasury in Stockholm decides to continue
using Mindwell as their consultancy partner to
assist securing quality and quick time-to-market for
their business needs.
Mindwell has since Dec 2004 provided consultancy
services such as business analysis, system
adaptation and maintenance related to Vattenfall
Treasury’s FRONT ARENA business usage. This on-going
assignment is extended over 2007 to have Mindwell
assist in securing quality and quick time-to-market
in daily operations and enhancement projects. |
Rabo Securities prolongs Service Agreement with
Mindwell

Rabo Securities in Amsterdam has decided to extend
the Service Agreement under which Mindwell provides
consultancy services for the implementation of FRONT
ARENA.
Mindwell was assigned in Feb 2006 to provide
integration and system adaptation services for Rabo
Securities in implementing FRONT ARENA for equity
trading, order management and exchange connectivity.
This assignment was extended in Nov 2006 to ensure
continued access to Mindwell consultants in the

production support for completion and maintenance of

BNG
selects Mindwell to implement analytics for structured products

Bank Nerderlandse Gemeenten
(BNG) has selected Mindwell to provide an interfacing solution
between Sungard FRONT ARENA and NumeriX Pro analytics library.
BNG provides financing
solutions for municipals and public sector
institutions in The Netherlands. The bank is looking
to further improve the valuation of structured
products, with the aim of improving processes in the
area of financial reporting and collateral
management, as well as expanding their funding
possibilities and those of their clients.
One of the main challenges is to ensure consistent
and accurate pricing and risk management of
structured products in Sungard FRONT ARENA that is
used by BNG as a consolidated trading, lending and
risk management platform. BNG chose the NumeriX Pro
library as the source of analytics for theoretical
valuation and risk management.
Mindwell is assigned to provide a highly flexible
interfacing solution that allows BNG to incorporate
NumeriX analytics in FRONT ARENA. |
Mindwell opens a new branch office in Amsterdam

We extend our presence
in The Netherlands by opening a new branch office in
Amsterdam. This is a strategic establishment that
will allow us to get closer to our clients both in
The Netherlands and in northern Germany.
The office will be initially lead by Raimon Matele
who is also the Regional Manager for the Zurich
office. A campaign has been initiated to recruit a
local management team and local members of the
consulting team who will work alongside experienced
consultants from Stockholm transferring to the
Amsterdam office.

Mindwell
presents integration solution at NumeriX London Seminar

Mindwell presented the MiNXTM solution at NumeriX
London Seminar. Other NumeriX integration partners included
Bloomberg and Reuters.
The MiNX solution is a generalized integration concept for
integrating NumeriX Pro analytics with a host trading or risk
management platform. MiNX was presented at the seminar in London
to a number of leading financial institutions. The
other companies presenting integrated solutions for
NumeriX analytics were Reuters and Bloomberg.
